Step-by-Step Installation Instructions:

  1. Accessing and Securing the Hard Drive:
    • The SIM card and hard drive are pre-installed.
    • Use the special key to unlock the hard drive bay if you need to access or replace these components.
    • Remember, the key also acts as the “On Switch.” The DVR must be locked to power up.
  2. Connecting Power Cables:
    • Identify the three primary power leads: 12-volt constant, 12-volt keyed power, and the black ground cable.
    • For vehicles with a 24-volt system, use the included 15 amp fuse.
    • Connect these wires from the vehicle’s fuse box to the designated power input ports on the DVR.
  3. Connecting Camera Cables:
    • Depending on your mDVR model, it can support up to eight cameras.
    • Each port on the mDVR is clearly labeled to simplify the setup.
    • Match each camera cable to its respective port.
  4. Connecting Antennas:
    • Mount the GPS and cellular antennas in clear, obstruction-free locations.
    • Connect the antennas to their respective ports on the mDVR for accurate GPS tracking and reliable 4G data communication.
  5. Touchscreen Driver Monitor Connection:
    • If your system includes a touchscreen driver monitor, connect it to its designated port on the mDVR.
    • The monitor allows the driver to review recorded footage or use the live feed as a safety camera system for navigating difficult terrain.

Final Steps:

  • Ensure all connections are secure.
  • Perform initial configuration and testing to confirm proper setup.
  • Remember, a precise installation ensures your system operates efficiently and effectively.
